I know you've tried submitting your site's URL to 10,000 search engines, posted hundreds of free classifieds, spent quite sometime putting together quite an attractive site and even participated in paid ads.

Here is a simple question; how much sales do you have? Okay let me put it in another way. How much success has your efforts brought you in terms of money?

While I do not advocate that search engines, free classifieds and the likes don't work, I'd like to show you other simple ways of making money sales online and increasing your earning power in no time at all.

The first thing to do is to have varied products to offer. Here is the gist. If someone doesn’t buy a book, he might be interested in Internet access and if not, he probably will buy a magazine or a nutritional product. For instant, I am part of an affiliate program that offers over 600 products and you should of course know what that means.

Once you have varied products, you are sure to increase your online sales. The second thing to do is to create doorway pages that will help you sell these products.

What are doorway pages and how do they work? A doorway page is simply a website or web page designed to attract people and then lead them systematically to the web page which does the actual selling called the spotlight page.

This is where a lot of people miss it. If you already have a website, good for you. Turn different pages of your site into doorway pages. If you do not have one, you can easily and quickly create one for free at any of these places. (http://www.geocities.com), (http://www.tripod.com), (http://www.freeservers.com) or simply surf to any search engine and punch in free web host.

The target is that you create a doorway page. A page, which is packed with something of value which will bring a targeted set of people to attention (Note: A targeted set of people.)

If you sell ebooks online, you've got to bring people who are interested in books to your doorway page, which of course has valuable information on books or probably tons of free ebooks for download. Always remember of course to include your links to the targeted page intelligently and of course your doorway page should lead visitors to the spotlight page.

Since visitors to your site are already interested in books, they will naturally flow to your spotlight page.

Once you've done this, instead of advertising individual products, advertise your doorway page and make sure you make your doorway page both useful and irresistible and watch what happens.

One last thing, write your ads in ways that hits the target.
