Hi, I found a very interting software that scan for published e-mails in web pages.
The useful thig is that it saves the page that it was found. And I can segment my e-mail database grouping the e-mails by issue.
The software is

Don't forget to cloak your e-mail address, people, then MailGrabber etc can't find you.

I got a small program called "mailto encryptor" (sp?) and basically it does exactly what it says - you paste in your email and it spits out the HTML code with the addy encrypted.
Can't remember where I got it, but it shouldn't be much further than a google search away.

I've just started using MailWasher, and it's good ... but I'm quite often getting that dear old blue screen! Though if I press a key, Windows does just carry on from where I was. I'm (still!) on Win98SE, with a dial-up connection. Anyone else had similar problems?
Just remembered - I was actually going to say I've just started using LinkPartners and LinkLeads directories. http://www.linkpartners.com and http://www.linkleads.com
I still like the Arelis and IBP from http://www.alexis.com

Using something like that is spamming and if you're caught you will potentially end up in a whole load of sh1t.
I know of several cases of spamming where people have been taken offline by their ISP and where sites are permanently barred from search engines and the like.
Lets be honest who ever visits a site in a mail thats spammed them? I know I don't. I delete spam without even reading it.

Mailwasher: http://www.mailwasher.net

Tip: Disable html email entirely, screw the pretty graphics.
Spammers use coded image files, your "user name" (given or not) is in the name of the file.
Example: webslave.397865928362198769.spamjerk.pornpic.jpg
Read the source code from it sometime and see.
Tip: Don't just filter, feel free to be a freakin' prick and report 'em. We're not going to stop it but we can at least tick 'em off.
Tip: Don't drink and surf... I've been browsing this forum for eons and finally joined... Besides, you're more likely to sign up for stupid stuff in your inbox while intoxicated. With each new forum I sign up for it gets worse and worse...

What is a good way to do this. If more that one, list the best first as I have that problem.
When I submit my site to search engines, I immediately get a lot of e-mail advertisements.
They say they won't give out the information and probably don't. They must sell it.
Thanks for the help

Google and other search engines frowns upon those email harvester programs and it can end up A) getting your ISP to shut you off B) Get your web hosting cancelled and C) Send you up the river due to the Canned Spam Act.
Spamming is for clueless people that have no original ideas on how to market their site. If you use an email harvesting program then I hope all three happen to you. SPAM is the devil!!!

Way to dig up a thread that is over 5 years old. Thread locked and your link deleted.
