Hey. I just joined in today, but I've been using FP2k for a few years now, curating nlcf's website (http://www.radford.edu/~nlcf) .

This is my first time using SSI on a site and I completely LOVE it! Hopefully we'll have some nice flash stuff, too. I might put the previous version up somewhere, too, 'cause it was pretty fun. I used a bunch of javascript on that one.

Let me know what you think of the site - the design is pretty much all there, and the content is coming along pretty quickly.

Aahhh... Backgrounds making me dizzy.... easy on the background text... perhaps a picture?

Yes the background is a bit hard on the old eyes. Well at least the foreground is err colourful to say the least.

I can't see what I am typing now ahhh....too many words in background. You should fade them out or just get rid of them all together.

OK - so I thought putting the content in boxes for legibility was enough, but I went ahead and dimmed the background substantially, and I agree it's better.

Any other thoughts?

Nice site. And lightshadow, where in radford do you live? I'm located in Dublin. (off of hickmans cemetary then H.R.) I never figured I'd meet someone so physicall near. Coo.:p

Agree with the others, don't really like the background.

I like black backgrounds, but agree with getting rid of the wording in the background. Otherwise, I like the rest!

I'm on a 1024x768 sr, so you might consider centering your information. That probably really won't matter on the 800x600, but it would be nice. I just like things centered. :)

This might not look good until you get more content on each page, but there's no reason to have submenus only available when you go to the main page. Either have them always shown, or rip a menu script. There are many that will let you keep the existing formatting.

The substantially dimmed background looks OK, IMHO.
