Ok. I've downloaded several animated gif's and am trying to insert them into a web page. I'm using 1stPage2000 and when I pull the image up under Insert/Image I can see the animation in the window before I click the 'ok' button to insert the gif.

When I choose PREVIEW mode, I can see the gif but no animation. If I open in an external browser (IE) I still see no animation.

This is the default code created by 1stPage2000. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have not worked with animated gif's before.

<center><img src="acrobat_doing_back_flip_md_wht.gif" width="160" height="130" border="0"></center>

The image is attached.

Thanks, :D
Michael

I think it is one of those completely transparent animated gifs . . .

My fault :( . I went into Preview first and think I lost the attachment. It should be attached now. Haven't tested it for transparency.

Thanks,

Yeah that did the trick. Never really paid much attention that I wasn't seeing animated gif's on screen (although the websites offering free gif's should have been a BIG clue.)

It also threw me that I could see the animations in my Outlook Express email. I had turned off sounds and animations under Tools, but I still get sounds and other animations in my browser, so I expected the answer might be more involved than I expected.

What the heck though. The more you know, the more you find out you don't know.

Many thanks:D
