Might get in trouble with nVidia?

Companies are gonna have to register their domain names in h4#0r 3ng15h as well as their real names to cover all the bases.

nVidia's legal info page does say that GeForce is a registered trademark in the United States and other countries. So there could be some legal trouble. The thought of dealing with lawyers makes me a little uneasy :vomit: but you might want to talk to one who knows something about trademark laws. Good luck, Geforc3:)

You could also try using a .tk name such as geforc3.tk, this particular domain name comes with no ads or cost and is available at http://www.dot.tk .

I dont think that you'd get into legal trouble, unless your site became a successful e-tailer, or other mass profit business, or otherwise infringed on nVidias copyrights. Even so, Geforce and Geforc3 are completely different, just like Windows and Lindows ;) .

Then again, i'm not a laywer.

You cannot use a trademark as a domain name and that includes names of celebrities, film titles etc.

Here in the UK a couple of years ago Warner Bros almost took a 12 year old girl to court in order to prevent her using the domain name www.harrypotter.co.uk when the films first came out. Had she contested it estimates put the cost to defend in terms of millions of dollars. The case ended up forcing the issue and the law was changed.

Telling them to suck lemons I don't believe is a valid defence when it comes to court.

As for a better name when I checked at my prefered host, domain names etc www.names.co.uk the name www.gdesigns.biz was available (£19.99 for 2 years) as an idea.
