I'm sorry, but as I don't even know the very basics of HTML, I hope you will be very patient with me.

I'm trying to construct a forum-based website on Homestead. But as their WYSIWYG SiteBuilder doesn't seem to have any forum templates, I looked around for one I could use. I found one on Bravenet, but it wasn't what I wanted because I believe it just opens a link to your form on their site, instead of it staying on my own site? I still tried to "copy and paste" it in, just to see how it might look and work, but I couldn't work out how to do that even (sorry). It said something about using "your favourite editor"(?)

Anyway, I visited Bravenet's help section and it recommended Evrsoft's 1stPage editor. Great! So I downloaded and installed the program, thinking I'd just use it to copy and paste the Bravenet forum HTML into. But then I found that 1stpage included a BBS.hts forum template and thought that might be more what I wanted.

But I can't even work out how to preview it in "an external browser" - let alone how to customise it or get it into my Homestead site?!!

Can anyone PLEASE tell me in layman's terms what I have to do?
