Like many who come here, I was curious about the background of 1stPage2000 and it's predecessor UnderConstruction98.

Here's what I found using http://www.archive.org -

"1st Page 2000 V2.5 delayed (1/26/2000)"
http://web.archive.org/web/20000511052634/http://www.evrsoft.com/

"Support is still available at support@evrsoft.com"
http://web.archive.org/web/20000621143237/http://evrsoft.com/

"First Page 3 expected launch/release date April/May 2001"
http://web.archive.org/web/20010301212600/http://www.evrsoft.com/

"Evrsoft News: First Page III is at its final stages of testing!!!"
http://web.archive.org/web/20010721201735/http://evrsoft.com/

"What's taking so long?"
"...we've had interested companies who were willing to either financially support or aqcuire Evrsoft and their First Page software for a seven figure sum"

Anyone see a pattern here?

Wow,

Thats an excellent site! I didn't even know it existed... does that archive most of the internet's websites or what?

As well, I don't quite see a pattern here, to be honest.. As was stated before Under Construction 98 was in 1997 through to 1999 and did close down respectably.. The Christmas message you are seeing was real and did happen, it was not a "Were gone now bugger off" kind of message, just so you know.

If you want to know more about it, seeing the "big" post has been removed, come and talk to others who have read it and have an opinion at the Code Builders forums.

:-)

Haha, the old Evrsoft site with the secret message at the bottom.
