I live in London. I'm an old man by your standards (52) who "retired" from work after heart problems forced me to stop.
I've spent the past couple of years teaching myself HTML, hand-coded, and now I'm adapting to XHTML and CSS. I'm also starting to learn Javascript and playing around with Flash. Quite adventurous, eh?

I feel a bit out of place among you young experts! but hopefully you'll look kindly on me and answer my silly questions occasionally!

My homepages be looked at here (http://www.chrisgarbett.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk) .

I look forward to an interchange of expertise and advice, and a lively forum!

Age is just a number =)

Anyway, seems like your website gives me 403 error...

Just went to the link and it worked OK. Don't know why you get 403!

Some numbers are bigger than others!!

I went once again to the url, and I was redirected to: http://www.chrisgarbett.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/installFlash.html
then, I clicked on the 'alternative site' link, and after that I was redirected to a 403 error page powered by blueyonder...

Ah, I understand. You do not have the latest flash player installed.

Sorry about that - I really must get round to putting a link to the other page.

Try this (http://www.chrisgarbett.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/index1.html) instead. (You miss the Flash though)

Oh now I get it, I'm on mozilla now :p on IE I got the latest flash installed!

Nice page!

I just want to comment the "Under Construction" part, every website is under construction, always, so there is no such need it putting such notice...

Thanks!

The pages on the Czech connection I have spent a lot of time preparing, but now I'm re-writing them in XHTML, much stricter. But even so, I have only done the travel pages so far.
I'm moving them to host.sk so there are no banners either.
This page I did for a friend, and this is what is funny - he really likes the lake applet. What do you think? Please take a look here (http://www.czechitout-translations.co.uk) .
I'd appreciate a comment (constructive of course).

BTW The Czech pages are why I need foreign language support.

The two flags on the top, look kinda messy, you saved from paint bmp to jpg?

Also it will be nice if you'll provide links to the clients pages and not just to mention them...

Also, do you need Hebrew/Russian/English translators? :)

Spot on.

I was told it was better to not use bmp

Okey, as I promised, Czech Republic Flag (http://utopia.by.ru/czech_republic-s.gif) and United Kingdom Flag (http://utopia.by.ru/uk-s.gif)...

Enjoy!

Thank you very much for the flags - they are so much better!

I appreciate the help.

(Regarding translators - I don't know anything about that. It isn't my business, but I know that the guy who'sit is speaks Russian. I don't think he knows Hebrew though, so I'll mention it to him.)

Well, they worked then, and if you need, I can upload them elsewhere...
