Hello people
I've searched online for a good drop down menu and can't find one with the style I am looking for.
I want a vertical drop down menu that would go on the left side of the page.
BUT... I don't want the drop-down sub-categories part to fly out... I instead want it and it's subcategories to appear under the main category, and shift the rest of the main categories down when it does this.
Has anyone seen or have any good free scripts for something of this sort?

No problem I tried to list them in a kind of order of what might be bestest lol!
Dynamicdrive seems to be a little gold mine of great stuff.

Hey,
Been working the site that's gonna use this drop menu, and found that I actually don't need any subcategories, except for 1 measly section that has 6. I found a menu you can see the test site here (http://www.xroyallawnandlandscape.com/test/), and it worked fine until I took out the subsections for all the other categories.
So now I'm wondering... because only one section needs sub categories, is there a better way to set this up?

I am re doing my sites and am havivg troubles with doing a nav bar and maybe I am going about it wrong. I would also like a few sub menu but not for all. In paint shop 8 I did 4 nav bars 700 px wide by 20 high but it seems like Dreamweaver wants to treat it all as one so I cannot make separate links plus I cannot add text into it it wants to place the text above which kinda defeats the purpose I do plan on useing css throughout the site. I have seen some that I like and should be able to acheive it much quicker. I do not want to copy but I like something clean like impel designs has. Thanks in advance

A good resources for nav systems is Listamatic (http://www.maxdesign.com.au/presentation/listamatic/index.htm).
They have quite a few options there, I think you might find what you're looking for.

Their site looks like it will have some nice stuff, I just did not want the typical cheezy box with the arrow pointing down that is included in so many editors and went to another site and the source code was two miles long. This looks to have what I need.

I know this is my second time with complementing someone in the music industry but I do like the effect that they got with the nav bar it almost has a liquid filled effect on the mouse over which is cool. http://www.mjblidge.com
