Feel free to quote from this.

Originally this was going to go in the newsletter this week, but I decided against it.

Ah, thought this was gonna be another complaint topic that says "1st page has a virus!!!! you bastards!!!!", but it is actually a worthy read. AV developers take heed.
Besides... The only place where this JS.WINDOWBOMB actually bothers anyone is on the internet, this so-called 'virus' is downloaded everytime you visit the offending webpage, so what is the point of deleting it from your hard drive?
Anyways, good read.

I sure wish I had read this before I sent a note to Evrsoft! Duh to me I guess! I too use AVG and when I got up this morning to a virus on my screen I was furious, atleast I didn't write a nasty note like I was going to! I really like First page, and was upset that I had to get rid of it because of a virus :( I now can reinstall it and I'll just have to put up with it being detected every night I guess, but it's worth it! I am brand new to web designing, well not brand new, but still a newbie. I am used to WYSIWYG, but a friend showed me this product and I love it! Just so glad I can continue to use it! Thanks for the info :) Going to write AVG also to see if they'll change their minds about removing it from their data bases!

You could always just go into the iscripts folder and delete the "six buttons from hell" file. That way there won't be anything for AVG to find on the next scan.

Cool! Thanks :) I just love Techy people such as yourself! I am too chicken to delete things unless I know for sure it won't screw up things Lol! BTW I love your Bob's Big Boy he's too cute! We don't have them here on the East Coast :( Thanks again for the info!

Panda,
Try looking in C:\Program Files\Evrsoft\1st Page 2000\Iscripts\Buttons.
There should be a file called "Six Buttons From Hell.izs". Delete that file (remembering to empty your Recycle Bin afterwards). That will take care of things.
