I just went to Eversoft home page to download 1st Page 2000.
When you click on download at the bottom - it redirects you to the CNET Site. The CNET site comes up blank. Apparently it no longer exists.

Can anyone type in the correct url website address to download 1st Page 2000 from?

Thanks
Steve

Thank You! very much - just went to the site and it downloaded fine!

1 Final ?. In the future - when Eversoft updates the 1st Page 2000 program - where do we go to download the updated version? same website?

And also - Do you have to uninstall the old version first or just download the new version over the old version?

Thanks
Steve

I just downloaded the file from that page and installed the software. Then low and behold my virus scanner goes off and says that one of the script files is a trojan, Js.Trojan.WindowBomb to be exact. Is this true of all the install files?

And on the original topic of where to find 1st Page - there are tons of sites (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=1stpage2%2Ezip) if you just look for the name of the zip file which is 1stpage2.zip.

Some Free Download Software programs have spyware in them. Does First Page have spyware in it?

I also noticed in another thread that the install program had a Trojan Virus in it?
How can I make sure First Page doesn't have spyware or a virus in it before I download it?

Is First Page better and more powerful than AOL Press HTML Editor?

If so, how is it better?

Finally how do I get updated versions of First Page and where can I download it from?

Thanks

1. No
2. If you read the other thread, you will find the answer (or read the announcements to be read before posting).
3. I don't know - no-one else has had a problem.
4. I've never used AOL (thankfully) so cannot comment.
5. If we knew that....... We are all waiting for one.

Welcome to the forum, sorry the answers are short, but I'm in a hurry.

1st Page 2000 download http://tucows.mundofree.com/winme/preview/137679.html
They already updated 1st Page 2000
It is called 1st Page 2006 - It is free but it has a very annoying nag screen to open and close, my suggestion, stick with 1st Page 2000.
Other good HTML Editors are:
Alley Code http://www.alleycode.com/
HTML-Kit http://www.chami.com/html-kit/download/
Ace HTML http://software.visicommedia.com/en/products/acehtmlfreeware/
Mozilla Composer http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/
They are all good, personal preference determines choice.
Make sure you have CSS incorporated in the software or a code validator like CSE HTML Validator or Firefox Firebug.
CSE HTML Validator/Editor http://www.htmlvalidator.com/
hope this helps
