View Full Version : FAIL to start 1st Page 2000 as user in WinXP Pro.
1st Page 2000 does not start in Windows XP Pro, when I login as a user. This happens due to write restrictions in the installation directory, since 1st Page 2000 tries to write in some .ini files. How can I circumvent the problem?

Log in under an account that has administrator privilages. That is the only way to do it :P

How did you install? Did you install under user or administrator ?
My have install as user on Window NT?
If you install as administrator, uninstall and reinstall under user.
This will install in user dir instead in root dir.
This should clear up the problem.

Yup. Login as admin. That is the only way I know how to bypass the problems. I tried to install first page 2000 at school and got the same problem. The teacher had to put it on for me.
I can not help you much an less the teacher can put on as user.
 Did I ask you try to install under user login? It will not work under Admin login because of root write protection.
You need to post in bug report on the forum.
My computer was on the network and I install it under user loging.
No problem to install.
