Howdy,
I was wondering if anyone knew of any good web calendars.
I've looked and looked and just don't know what's good and whatever.
I need one for a singing group site, one that anyone can view but only I can modify it.
It would be wonderful if I could integrate it into my webpage.
I posted it here in php cuz i figured it would be a php thing ;)
Thanx a mill,

What are you going to use it for? If, for instance, you are going to use it as a front end for an archive, calendars aren't much good. ...I mean when do the "interesting," high traffic discussions take place? ...the 12th of each month? ....every other thursday?
For a little alternative to the interaction design of the calendar- as- archive, try thermal mapping of weblogs (http://l.editthispage.com/2002/07/13) -- the idea is not blog specific.

There won't be any discussions on it, I don't want anyone to have to deal with a user/pass, because it should just be a calendar they can see dates on and have no posting or modifying abilities, but I can edit the dates on.
Thanks for the links, I'll be looking into those,

Animgirl,
It may be a bit late, but I have been toying with the idea of creating a calandar without any javascript at all.
For inspiration, I am looking at the text pop-ups shown here:
http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/popups/demo.html
If each date were a link, then one could use php and mysql to dynamically build the calandar so that the appropriate information would be displayed when that link (date) is hovered over.
Unless someone else has done this before, though, you will have to code it yourself.
I was thinking of making one like this for our church's website. Maybe someday...

Sounds like a good idea.
Someday when you make it, show it to us!
I dunno, I'm still kind of looking.

David, the link doesn't work, so i went to your homepage, which isnt working for me either... anyway, I am also looking to create a calendar for a football team. I would like it in the format of 2 columns:
The first is the date, in the format of 01 JAN
The second would be highlighted if an event is scheduled, and would display the opposition logo and name.
If the fixtures are all entered into a database, is there a way of doing this? I also would like to get the date, and then only display the next 14 days... any way of doing this?
I know it is alot, but all help is welcomed greatly, thanks
