I happen to check the evrsoft's site cause dev site's images were down..Oh man dope lookin' site right infront of my face! and there was 1st Page III 2003!

Tried to download..but got redirected to 2000...feelin' a little down..lol XD

But an affiliate program? So they must be planning to charge for the new release. Can't say I blame them, but it's a wrench for some of us.

Perhaps they'll keep a "lite" version for a freebie, without the FTP, scripts, etc.

They are never gonna have FP3 come out. Much like most in here, I have been waiting since 2000 for the next version to come out. They are just playing us. They are just using thier sites traffic to collect cleints for thier hosting business. Heck, maybe it is just a deal they cut to cover the high bandiwidth they use. Who cares....

I was really dissapointed to click the FP2003 link and have it be 2000. That just shows me they are trying to decieve me yet once again. I dont care if it was free. This just ridiculous. Face it is not gonna come out.

Like most threads here, this is going to degenerate into flaming Evrsoft, and I don't blame it. I mean, who would redesign their website and put a link to some software not actually in place yet?

Oh well, they can stick 1st Page 2003 or whatever it's going to be called, and I'll stick with 1st Page 2000 (although quirky is still very good) and try and think nice thoughts about them for writing it in the first place.

If 1st Page 2000 is working well for you, then that's enough. You already have a useful piece of software at your disposal, and you can still use it. 1st Page 2003 is a bless. If it comes out, it's a present of surprise; otherwise, simply stick to 1st Page 2000 and still you're happy. I have too been waiting for 3 years already. For once I have had grumbles as to why they defer the release time after time. However, prolonged waiting has prompted me not to wait for something that has not happened yet (or may not happen at all), but to enjoy what you have now. I'd be glad they are going to have a new release. Although, as I have migrated to another OS already for which 1st Page is not available, I don't really care how they are going, frankly.

Who says a version upgrade must definitely be better than the previous one? I have seen quite some software whose later versions are worse compared with previous releases. To force customers to purchase subsequent, but actually inferior versions, they removed all download links to their previous freeware versions. At least, to date we haven't been at this stage yet.

Oh Ye of little faith........Does it really matter why the notice for FP3 is there? Yes I know you all want the newer one. Yes I know you say Evrsoft has been dangling the carrot in front of your noses for what 2 yrs now and your a bit gun shy about trusting them.

The bottom line is this....you all are still here at Evrsolt. You are all still posting here even with the old model. Yet you want to "flame" or start a thread that will no doubt lead to Flaming of Evrsoft every time a new page/notice regarding FP goes up.

Correct me if I am wrong here people but the point of all this should be that even tho you all want a new program it should not be made into that big of a deal. It really isnt worth the hassle and upset to vent every time a mention by Evrsoft for the "new 2003 or whatever" will be up and coming.

The way I see it, the owner of Evrsoft or who ever it was finally came out of the closet so to speak and gave you all more of what you wanted in the running of their site so leave it in their hands to decide if this is a "true" fact that a new program is up and coming OR if its a "ploy" as was mentioned to get more business.

All I am saying is it isn't important which way it is meant and you shouldnt be so focused on it. Try to have patience and see if it does come to light or it is just a marketing reason. In the mean time just keep using what you have, send the owners your thoughts yes but really stop complaining in here about whether or not new is or isnt it coming. Some people really do not care if a new one is in the works or if its a ploy I am sorry to say.

Most in here want answers to what is up and running and other issues not is it or isn't it coming.

Again this is IMHO. Please do not take offense I am just saying what I feel everytime I read these types of posts. Venting is one thing but in doing so you invite Flaming and that does not make a good board to read.

This is the place where you will find the people like yourself that have similar views and opinions. Venting to the makers of this product is utterly useless. I tried that sometime ago. They don't reply, and if they did three years of deception and being lead on would take some very powerful and moving words to convince anyone of anything.

Am I happy with FP2000? Yes (except that word wrap bug). Oh I hate that!!....All I want is that and just a few minor glitches fixed..I don't care if FP2003 can read and print the HTML directly from my mind and has the entire database of scripts from javascripts.com adn Dynamicdrive.com included in it. I dont care if it cleans my house and handles server maintainence, or even automates technical support for my company. I just despise companies that persist on rebuilding thier products(over a long period of time) and neglects to fix any current problems with the first one beforehand.

All this time I have spent waiting for a new version to come out just to fix a few bugs, and maybe get some updated features. FP2000 was a great free HTML editor used by thousands upon thousands of people. Why did they not let you download it right from thier site all that time? To reach the high plataeu mark of downloads from CNET of course. No reason except to boast thier own product. My point is that continuely used their popularity to gain visitors to this site. Much like their developers portal, the this forum, and now their site redesign, its just a gimmick to keep us coming back, and back again. They have no intention of ever building FP2003 or just skip to the next version FP2004 etc. I feel like a chick that keeps letting herself get played by men =o)

I would tell everyone I knew about it, even incuded it in my resume at one point as software used. Now I am just, evrsoft? Who cares?

I feel the same way but as the expression says...beating a dead horse to me venting when one knows it will not get you want you want is a stupid way to spend your time.

Now this is too funny. Girl after my own heart. Wait if it cleaned my house my daughter would be one happy puppy LOL. As far as being unhappy with some problems life is like that nothing is ever neat and perfect. Ask me story of my life :-(. But as I said I feel that if one uses the product then one should not complain cause it falls on deaf ears. Also my concern was if new people come in and read the venting well we wouldn’t have new people and they would uninstall an otherwise okay program. Okay should I laugh at the "Its all about that cheddar man." comment? I want to but I don’t want to insult you since I have no idea what this means. So if it’s a joke great I laughed reading it but if it’s a serious comment then forgive me for laughing cause I never heard it said before. Now as far as anyone being let down I find this a waste of time also. This is after all a program and only humans can cause that emotion not programs. With that said again going back to if one chooses to use the program then they have to deal with the ups and downs of the program they are using. If one is not happy and trust me I have downloaded more programs then I care to count and uninstalled each and everyone that either pissed me off or wasn’t worth my time to learn. So again it’s the person that chooses to use or not use any program. So no trust would be lost here, no amount of venting will cause people to lose faith, all the scrutiny talked about would not occur because people that complain about it should of by that point deleted the stupid source of aggravation. Remember if you don’t like it you return it or delete it :-).

Trust me.... famous last words that I know were created by a man :-). No one is "ever wrong" for speaking their mind. Its those that can't deal with people that speak it are the ones that need to get help ROFLMAO. As far as your last part I have to admit I find that way of thinking sad. To let a program that you didn’t create or have a hand in get you so down to think like that well that is a sad notion for me. You need to care or you need to delete. As I said I downloaded and tried more types of programs then I can count and if they pissed me off in any way I deleted them. I will tell you I downloaded 1st page and when my virus check found the so called joke virus I deleted this sorry piece of you know what. The only reason I re-downloaded it was a special person in here has been helping me with my sites and he uses this program and swears by it and guess what he teaches me it...Ya we have to work on him to moderate the forum so he can enlighten others to the good this program can do. I just checked the forum/site for the first time in months, and I must say that I quite literally nearly fell off my chair in shock at the new look! THIS IS AWESOME!! Finally, some sign of updating! :) What I'm seeing on the site looks very good...yeah, we'll probably have to pay for FP3, and I'm a little disappointed, but hey! I expected that!

Once FP3 truly comes out, I am going to get my copy about 2 seconds later!!

I guess that's about all I have to say except that I am going to be visiting the forum/site a LOT more often again!

FP2003 will *never* be released - get used to it.

I now only use FP2000 because it has quick easy access to HTML, but as I'm learning more, I'm beginning to use Textpad more and more.

Sorry to disagree there, but I have to say that I honestly believe that FP3 WILL come out...I wondered for a while when nothing happened for ages, but now that the site has been updated, I believe that FP3 is coming soon.

I personaly believe aliens are on earth and built Microsoft to take over the world. They are trying to make us all crazy by purposely creating errors in thier operating systems, and other software. They want us to die, and are using crappy software to do so. I am pretty sure that Bill Gates is the Alien Leader, and waiting to deploy an alien infantry within the next few years. He is is calling it operation "Longhorn". I know this stuff to be true. However, I have a theory that the makers of Evrsoft are also Aliens. I think they are a subsidiary of Microsoft. They are using a more aggresssive approach. They are killing us much quicker. I think the Gator Coproration is brainwashing the world with subliminal messages, however the source of this cannot be verified to be reliable.

Nah, I wouldn't like to place a wager ktorres...but that's only because I happen to be broke and am saving my money for whatever new technological toy rolls down the pike...preferrably FP3.

BTW, I don't really agree with the theory that pretty much everyone else seems to have that Microsoft only makes junky software...pretty much every techie everywhere complains about Microsoft, but almost every last one of them uses Microsoft products. If Microsoft weren't as big as it is, it wouldn't be the target of all the blame...the bigger software company (whichever one that may be) would be the one under attack...merely because it puts out the most software.
