That wasn't the answer I was looking for... I can under stand it if EVRSOFT is pressed for cash, but thats what happens when you design freeware. I also hope they understand that there popularitie will be lost and webmasters will find another program. This sad but true for most 1st page fans...:(

http://www.evrsoft.com/company_facts.shtml

There are three products listed here, two of which we have yet to see. As others have proposed, perhaps one will be free, and one not. Then again, both may have to be purchased! Either way, Evrsoft has the authority and moral right to do whatever they want to with their new product.

That being said, I hope it's free. :D

It seems as though First Page 2000 had about 14 beta testers... Don't you wish you could get on THAT list for FP 2003!

I think you misunderstood me. Of course EVRSOFT has the right to do what they want and I'm not against buying quilty software for a fair price. I have own lots of software...

List of web desighn software I own...
AceHTML 5 Pro
MS Office Front Page XP/2002 (I own it, but I hate it...)
Macromedia Dreamweaver

If 1St Page 2003 is worth how much they want for I'll buy it, but so far I havent seen a features list or a price tag yet!

As far as my other statement goes ("I also hope they understand that there popularitie will be lost and webmasters will find another program.") I most cases this is true.

Anways I wish the best of luck to the EVRSOFT team and 1st Page 2003. (Wheather its free or not.)

This kind of delay for commercial software between versions doesn't help my view of EVRsoft. :( I stopped using first page 2k a lot months ago.

I remember when I first found FirstPage 2000. After using it, I thought, "This is free?" It was a far superior software for its time, and it being free was a huge advantage.

I'm looking forward to the new version, and would gladly pay for the software.

Delays on free software (or projects like this) are to be expected. The developers aren't making money off of their current products, so they probably have another job to feed themselves with. Generally that job controls all the other projects. I know, I'm in that situation.

I just hope the developers crunch it out, and I wish them luck.
