I started up 1st Page today and got an error saying that the file was corupted. So I downloaded the new version (I have had this one for a couple of years now). The new version is downloading from a irror site and on the first attemp it downloaded in 4 seconds. Well, call me suspicious, I presumed that I could not have down loaded 5 meg in 4 seconds so I re-downloaded and got the zip file. When I extracted the files and tried ot install I got a message saying the setup file preformed an illegle operation. Any ideas. Numerous downloads didn't help.

Where did you download from?
Have you try download from Evrsoft download page? If you did, try one from Cnet. Cnet have better download package. They check for download error. Most of today computer do not have download error checking.
Most of download traffic can get tide up.
When you download from them, look for file size. Remember this when complete the download and look in your dir for file size. The file size must same.
I did this one time and file size are two bit lower than web site size. I have to re-download again.
After download and install, must sure program running ok. Then I save to CDrom after unzip the program.

I downloaded from the two available sites. CNet and the mirror site blueits.com. I guess I'll just keep trying until it comes through correctly.
I have used AOL, Frontpage and some other editors as well as Notepad and nothing comes close to 1st Page. I can't give up yet!

Cnet is the best download site. I have never gotten any corrupted downloads from them.
