I just installed 1p2k and getting a error msg stating invalid argument to date encode. can anyone help me with this. I am using w2k pro

Haven't seen that one before.
I suggest you try the old standbys: Remove and reinstall / Get a different download / copy down the exact error message and where it occurs and what you were doing. We'll try to to take it from there.

I think i fixed the problem. I use linux for my web server and use samba to map a drive to my w2k w/s. I was opening the files on the linux box in the program. I also have a w2k server that also has the files and i changed the file location to open there instead of the linux drive. error went away. I do not know if this is a bug or what

Linux stores the date format differently then w2k pc's. You would find that 1stpage was trying to read a standard windows file date and was getting confused.
Personally, I wouldn't blame the software thats something they wouldn't expect to have to program in. In fact 99% of programs wouldn't have that programmed in.
