I just downloaded 1st Page, and am going to make a stab at producing my first web page. Does 1st Page come with an online guide? Is there a good book or web reference that can guide me in learning HTML? Any help will be appreciated!

1st Page comes with some documentation, but I don't recall it teaching html.
Is there a good book or web reference that can guide me in learning HTML?Where do I begin? There are many many (millions) of good sites and books and tips and... and.. it's time to google.
Google any of your inquiries, "learning html" or on certain phrases or things that you want to learn about in html.
I don't know about others, but I personally didn't buy one book for web and begin learning it that way, there were many collaborations of info from different sites and lots of help from my buddies that got me learning it (buddies you know who you are...).
Here's a link (http://www.alistapart.com/articles/betterliving/) on xhtml that may also be of interest to you. I would suggest you look into css also if you're serious. Again, google css and you will find loads and loads of links filled with info out there.

Thank you much! As you've suggested, I'll do some exploring on the net.
