Invision Power Board Graphics help

I need some help with the top bar on my Forum. It's an invision power board, and i need to replace the top red bar which you can see below....

And i wish to replace this red bar with this...

And you see, when you look at the picture and at the red bar.When it is in the tar folder, it's only the same width as the one i made (500 wide x 100 high). Yet it seems to span the whole length. But, if you move your mouse over it, only half of the red is actually the image (on actual board >>HERE<< (http://milanissimo.illusionfxnet.com//invision)) . So when i tried replacing the red bar with my new creation this happened...

Then i tried making making my creation double the width, and the same thing happened. I have no idea what i can do. Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?

Hmm, the problem is, i can't make the red bar appear once i've modified it. Or is that picture something you know will work?

I'll look for more pics soon.

Does anyone know how i can edit this top red bar and get it to show up?
