Well yeah, I've recently got hold of YokoMitsuya.Net and put some basic content up on it, plus I flushed a load of meta tags into the mix... And still Google doesn't tend to find it all too attractive for listing. But that is another matter for talk on another day.
Right now I would like some thoughts and suggestions please. Oh and before you tell me, yes I know the site doesn't look very good in anything other than IE but I decided to go with that particular style since IE actually has the majority of users.

Well there you have it. Any other ideas on how to improve it would be great and most welcome. Cheers!

Consider using a Javascript popup window that can be reused to load new images into - otherwise you can litter the users screen with windows. Animgirl and I found a good script that she uses on her site http://www.impeldesigns.com/portfolio/visual/screens/ - notice how it goes to a set place and how each image replaces the previous.

Nice looking however I did not care for the font and color that went with info on her such as First name : Last name: The left hand things such as Shoe size looked fine I am referring to the answers that were in black and seemed to be a generic font. They did not line up properly with corresponding items. This is on the profile page.
Did not care for photography page also because I thought that it could have listed her work better and at least placed a link to view the various magazines. BTW it looked good in Opera!! Nice layout, nice graphics just needs some better typing!!
PS. Just noticed the This site was designed by, please respect, ect, and found it to be tacky. I think that that statement will offend most viewers. It certainly will not stop any one with bad intentions. Granted we all get mad at those who try to steal copy righted material but if we express ourselves like that I feel we only hurt ourselves because the Good people will be offended by our remarks

Oh yes, I understand what you are trying to say about the copyright notice. But you also have to understand that I couldn't think of much else to fill the sidebar up with. So since I had to put a copy notice somewhere anyhow, I found it a rather okayish place.
Also, I don't really see how the text doesn't align on the profile page but I'm planning on adding a few new <span> classes to my styles file soon enough.
And I also agree with the pages that tell you what she's done. I mean it's hard enough to actually get this information since she's Japanese and lives in Japan. But I am working hard on getting some more "complete" information and hopefully add some related links.
Well thanks for the "review" I guess.

Hey it is a nice site with good graphics and the profile lined up properly in Firebird, Opera had troubles with it. Iwould just re-edit the photography and film pages to include three or four lnks to her work on each page. You should be able to locate that easy enough I would think. I understand the logistics. Altogether just needs some minor tweaking. Great start!!!

The colors in your guestbook section are a bit dark with the black background and taupe letters. I would suggest adjusting them.
I'm not sure if you know or not, the last 3 links on the left hand side are giving 404's.
The picture on the homepage is nice :)
On your page you have a scroller for your content, and there is a main scroller for the page itself. Most of your pages look as if they could do without the main content scroller, and still fit within the intended page height. I would suggest taking the center scroller out, even though the content may go lower than the left and right columns at times. Putting the content higher on the page would help a bit with that. Maybe you could have the left and right column's yellow at the bottom expand to fit the content height changes. I usually use my mouse scroller on web pages, and it tends to scroll both scrollers on the page at the same time...
Anyway, these are just suggestions. But overall, you have a nice site.

Yeah I found the same 404 errors. And you do not need the main scroller . The guest book was fine to me viewed through Firebird. Thought that your colors worked well on the index page!

Well thanks for the "review" I guess.LOL - don't you realize that folks have to like a page around here to actually jump in with ideas about how to improve it. That is the nature of a web design forum. I've seen some real wankers post a page here and people just turn up their noses and walk away. You didn't want folks to just throw flowers, did you?
There have been some great discussions of design and usability issues here and exchanges of technique. But you have gotta be able to take the heat.

hmm, well actually you know the guestbook never did recieve much attention from me, nor did the forum as I've been too busy juggling exam work with diging up pictures and information on my subject matter. I'll see what I can do about this tomorrow when I get home.
I actually use an old compaq mouse, so I never thought or knew that the two scrollbars could be much of an issue. I'm glad you've brought this to my attention. I'll put it on my todo list and what not.
Oh and about the credits pages, I understand what is being said. And I do agree, they need some work otherwise they just don't "fit in" with the rest of the site.
And lastly, I'm not upset or anything. I'm actually glad people are giving me some needed input so that I can improve the site in general. But I believe you may have misunderstood me when I called it a "review" ... Since I didn't mean this in a sarcastic way, more like I didn't really know what to call it other than a review yet a review didn't exactly hit the mark. Don't work about me, I'm used to the heat of both decent and moronic people on the web. =)
Oh, and one last thing. I know about those 404's. The thing is that I am either looking for a good enough script that meets my needs or I am looking for certain sites (like toplists) that I can use.

I know that I was cretiqueing but also said nice things also. I never looked at the guest book until mentioned and then stated it was fine in my browser. PS noticed the 404 but was also sure that you knew about them because you have your own default 404 error page. Something that I should do is make my own error page.
You mentioned the old compaq mouse thing so here is my last bit of critisism. Go buy yourself a decent mouse. I got a bran new dell but came with the standard mouse and one of the first things that I did was to get a good optical mouse. There is a big difference between optical and a track ball which I absolutly hate. All a trackball can do for me is to make me go into Tourrettes syndrome!!!

Oh yes, don't mind me. I tend to only focus on the negative sides of my work so as to achieve higher results. Well in theory it should work, but this doesn't always seem to be the case.
So when others tell me the negative things, I tend to be very happy in a strange way... Odd right? Well that's just me. And yes, there is still much work to be done, the site is still rather young in my opinion and I don't mind taking my time to work on it, in hopes that oneday it will be a little more mature in functionallity.
And about the mouse, I'm slowly building a new server machine so I guess a mouse is on my list of things to get anyhow. =)
