I've seen the future of 1st page and its called HTML Builder WYSIWYG professional. If you want to see what 1st page 2003/04 will be like take a look at this product.
The only thing I don't like about it is the cost at $149.95

Oops sorry about that if you want to look at screen shots goto http://www.code-builders.com/hbxpproscreenshots.shtml
Want to download and trial it for 30 days free goto http://www.code-builders.com/downloadhbxppro.shtml
If Evrsoft are planning to sell their next version I hope it'll be cheaper.

Well - they may know a bit about writing a web editor they don't know crap about writing html.
I'm looking at a screenshot of a strict XHTML doctype and then the body tag goes <body background="/company.htm" bgcolor="FF8000"> Heard of stylesheets boys?
...and here is a lesson in terms:
palette - board that provides a flat surface on which artists mix paints and the range of colors used, can also refer to the range of colors themselves
palate - the upper surface of the mouth that separates the oral and nasal cavities
pallet - a portable platform for storing or moving goods that are stacked on it
Sorry, just feeling snarky tonight.

I didn't say you were but after seeing the sneak preview of 1st page 2003/04 and looking at HTML builder pro v1.0 there are very similar (almost identical).

yeah, I downloaded HTML Builder XP a few days ago, and what I saw was that the interface was just like 1stpage.
So, it seemed like a good programm, but:
The only thing I don't like about the software is that it is called HTML builder, but if you download it, you can only make XHTML document, and I work with HTML 4.01 .:p
But I haven't seen screenshots from 1stpage XP (or 1stpage 2003, or 1stpage 2004 and so on.....).
I only use 1stpage 2000, and the interfave is almost identically with HTML Builder XP.
Compare them, and you will see it.
for example, i compared the beginner-interfaces:
- the palettes are the same, an also the buttons to make the selected color the background, or the foreground.
- the large horizontal bar with enormous buttons are the same.
- the same gutter,
- the same file-browsing on the left,
- the same edit/preview thing on the top of the page,
- and the file-tabs on the bottom.
Is that enough evidence?
