temporary files - change the path

I get temporary files starting with a ~ char in the file pane I am editing files from when I edit a file. Can I change an option somewhere to have these created somewhere else?

I did look in the options but may have missed the seting.

Just did this in another dir and it happened again

It only occurs when I do a preview of the file.

You want those files created in the directory that the parent file is in because most often to properly preview the file you will have relative paths to all the css, js, img or hrefs in your file. If it goes in any other directory it won't be able to find them.

Ok I can understand that but why display them most programs do not show you the ~ files. It would be nice if there was an "file" option to ignore them at least.

Just make sure you go back to edit mode before closing 1st Page and they will automatically be deleted.
