Man, I hope it isn't true that First Page is giong adware. There are many rumors on WINMX that you are all going adware. They are daring you do do it saying that First Page will be cracked in less than a day. Please say it ain't true. Don't do it to us and your great mission to keep freeware alive and true. Ya'll have the best html editor out there. Take donations or something.

The next version will remain as freeware. There will never be AWARE versions of our HTML editor because frankly I hate AWARE apps.

Another reason why it would not be adware is due to the fact that advertising in apps does not make any money for the publisher. I know some developers who are behind some of the most successful adware apps, yet their income from advertising is to say the least, poor.

You know, I would be glad to donate some money if FP3 comes out good, and I'm sure some others would too.

Especially in times like these where 12-year-olds in their living rooms are churning out development software every week, a good program would not go unrewarded.

Hey, we're up for that.. bring in the donations :hehe:

Bismillaah. Salaam; I am running win Me, with a possible upgrade to XP, and Mandrake-Linux in the works. I would like to know what OS's eversoft 1st page is compatible with presently, and for future use (ver.3). Thanks, in advance for your help.

Heh, I agree with you...

I didn't even bother to install Me, I knew it will suck ass, it did according to my friends...

About XP, I made a mistake of installing it, it crashed on the 11th day, messing up my boot table and I lost more than 800mb of data I have no way to restore about 300mb of it...

Now I'm back to my win98, and it is stable, well most of the time :D

Boris you should either switch to Linux or Win2k. I am running Win2k and I have never had a problem with it crashing locking up or any of the other M$ crap that seems to happen on all their other OS's. I use to have a dual boot with Mandrake-Linux and highly recommend it.

I had no problems until my MB crapped out on me along with my HD when I reloaded i did not put Mandrake back on, just haven't had the time lately

lier! :D

Windows 2000 is the best OS Microsoft ever released, with Windows 98 SE as a runner up.

Windows ME, Windows 95 and Windows XP are topping the list of the worst OSes released.

well according to you I am lying about win2k not crashing, then you contradict yourself by saying it is the best OS ever. I don't think you read my post correctly

2Tarmithius: I had it installed once, but then I got upset I couldn't run some games so I returned to 98. Anyway, I plan to return to win2k someday, but you know, it cost money, I was using the RC that was available to d/l from C|Net d/l center... about Linux, currently I won't switch, but I may in october when I'll get my ADSL connection and won't have this damn winmodem and would be able to connect from Linux.

I fully agree with you on this point...
Windows ME, Windows 95 and Windows XP are topping the list of the worst OSes released.
And on this one as well...

To agree with others in this topic, I wouldn't mind paying money to support this great program. It almost feels like stealing to use this service for free.

Bismillaah. Salaam; Josh, what about other OS's? I prefer win Me. And now I have Mandrake-Linux? I may install win XP if there's a future for it in evrsoft's new version. There is still a compatibility issue involved.

Bismillaah. Salaam; Delicates; Don't feel sorry for me for running win Me, because its my favorite! But you may if you wish feel sorry for my having installed Mandrake-Linux. So far its been quite puzzling! And I'm still wondering if the new version of evrsoft will support it.

Bismillaah. Salaam. dbindel; I should have explained earlier, even with the first post. Bismillaah, means In The Name Of GOD, The Supreme. Salaam, means Peace.
By the way can you help me understand the evrsoft compatibility issue that I have raised?

Bismillaah. Salaam; Yes, Mandrake-Linux was included. I appreciate your response. But I also wanted to know if Win Me, and Win XP were supported. Thanks in advance for any information you can supply.

(The reason for my asking is because I had the understanding that 1st page 2000, was primarily for Win 9x. So, I wanted to know if 1st page 3, would support my present OS's, or an upgrade to Win XP.)

Bismillaah. Salaam; Great! I'am glad to hear that, it's really good news. Thanks dbindel.
