Old browser

I'm news on this forum and I've got problems with 1stpage 2000

My Pc is a P133 with windows 95 4.00.950, 48 mb RAM, I had IE 3.01 on my system when I've installed 1stpage, now I've deleted it (using control panel utility) and I've put on NETscape 4.51

On preview mode (F12 key) I already see IE 3.01!!! To preview my works with netscape I have to choose the "preview with external browser" action.

How can it be possible? I've to delete something else, like registry keys?

You deleted the MS browser files. MY MY how could you do that.

You should not do that with control panel. In order to work witn Netscape program, reinstall the MS brower (they are the part of system files). You can disable the MS browser and use Netscape as the main scoure. I don't remember how but it can be done. (My home computer is one of this. I did not delete MS browser).

Here are what I think you should do.

1. reinstall MS Browser
2. disable MS Browser.
3. delete Netscape program using control panel. reboot after this.
4. install Netscape program. This will set as default. ( hope) you made have to reboot.
5. set preference in 1st Page and use Netscape instead MS browser.

Next time you want to delete MS browser program, use outside uninstaller program.

Any Microsoft program will not delete, remove, clean the MS browser. Therefore you have to use outside uninstaller to clean up the MS browser.

Microsoft has the policy that no MS program to remove the MS browser. no choice.
