Virus & Trojan horse

I recently downloaded 1st Page from Evrsoft. After I installed the program my virus scanner warned me for the " virus js/winbomb("six buttons from hell")" js/winbomb.
After that it put 1st Page in quarantaine. Shall I remove it completely ???

That Virus is not a virus it is caused by the ppl at your virus scan company beiing idiots who onlt know three words (virus,worm,trojan). Just read the stickies in the forums. There are about 200 topics about this virus. Moderators please delete this post.

;) My provider is referring to your site (=85% of the country's net-users) and recommending the use of 1st page. (also for newbies) I think there should be an explanation about the "virus". I think it hurts Evrsoft. Most people will delete 1st page and lose confidence in open source programs. If the programmer wants to make a point he should consider that he could be hurting his brain-child. Most users are not programmers nor do they understand the bits and bytes stuff... As a psychotherapist I think it's a bit suicidal, don't you think so ?? :rolleyes:

Schopenhauer - first welcome to the forums! As Azlatin has pointed out - this is a bogus warning - and we have wasted a good deal of internet bandwidth trying to explain this to people. You probably will have to turn your virus scanner off to install 1stPage (remembering to turn it on afterward) Details on the virus are in the FAQ (http://developers.evrsoft.com/forum/announcement.php?s=&forumid=51) that was designed to intercept questions before threads got started, but, oops, its too late now. :smack:
