Evrsoft Webmaster Tools - badly broken tool

I'm not sure where this post goes, so I hope a moderator will put it where it belongs.

I used the Evrsoft Search Engine Analyzer (on Evrsoft homepage) for my carefully chosen key words - and panicked. My site was not to be found in the top 50 of any of the 10 search engines. So I started checking...

This tool is broken...badly!!! Do not trust it.

Just one egregious example: The Evrsoft Search Engine Analyzer says that my site is not in the top 50 at Hotbot for my two key words. In fact, my site is # 1 for these key words at Hotbot! Another of my site's pages is # 3 at Hotbot. My site is also # 1 and # 3 at MSN for these same key words! It is # 3 at Yahoo! And so forth...

What gives? Somebody needs to fix this "tool" or get rid of it!!!

This has been known for a long time if you would have just searched the forums you would have found it.

Thank you for your reply, azlantin200. Yes, this problem was reported by sarab in January. So why do you think this defective "tool" hasn't been removed by the Webmaster in all this time?

I can understand why Admin may not frequently participate in the "Newbie Forum." There are other experienced members such as youself to help the newbies.

But I would be relatively amazed if Admin didn't check in here once in a while to monitor "Bug Reports."

Also, don't you think new and ongoing complaints from forum members would help motivate someone to fix this? Having a broken tool on Evrsoft's homepage cannot be good PR for the developer.

BTW, 1st Page 2000 has been a great help to me - even if one of the Webmaster Tools here at the site is less than useless :)

The admin is probably dead already, the last time the site was updated was months ago and the last time the admin visited this forums was over a month ago, and even then all he said was that fp2k8 is going to have the option to preview in mozilla. No updates or anything like that. Almost all the tools are broken on the site. This forum barely has any visitors and in a year it will be completely deserted unless fp2k8 comes out soon.

Wow! Then members like you are keeping it going. I've got to hand it to you.

You mean there are no moderaters or any supervision or support for the site coming from Evrsoft? No wonder that when I signed up for the newsletter that I never got one.

On a positive note, are their any good tools here that DO work as they should? The Search Engine Analyzer was the only one I tried.

There are moderators for the forums but not for the site. I also signed up for the newsletter but have never recieved even one.

Some work but they require you to add a link to their site and most of the other ones work.
