Do you have the user name and password for the site?
If not, you need that first before any ftp program will work

I have all the details. I'have discovered that I have to "create a server" Is this where I type all the details for the site to upload to?
What do I put in "site label"?
presumably the "site server" is the server the site is registered to?
What is the "account"? and the "initial remote directory"?
I really am lost with all this!
Thanks for your help so far. You guys are just great

I would not recommend the FP Ftp program. I have heard way to many complaints. I like several such as Cute Ftp from Global scape, but this costs money. If you are looking into free, there are many many options. Check out Download.com for a listing. I really don't like to recommend free ones, cuz they are a get what you pay for.
I have heard in another thread that there are some great free ones out there. Check out that thread. Overall, get new FTP program and you will be much happier.
Best Regards.
