I am starting a web page for a small buisness and I am fairly well versed in HTML, but not very well versed in scripts. Could anyone suggest a good Shopping Cart Script. I want it to e-mail orders with all the information. Thanks a lot.:)

I could **really** use a Shopping Cart function, but have ZERO IDEA how to set that up!

Dream scenario: that it collects all data on WHAT is being ordered, add up the total for the purchase, and then sends them to PayPal to pay.

Thanks!

It won't come free I'll tell you this much, but pretty much any script author will make a fully custamized cart for you if you ask.

Look around, ask around and generally price things up...things like that don't tend to ride up to you...

Thanks Ghandi Eximius. Do you have any idea where I could shop around for the cart? And what about price, what do you think a fair price would be?:)

There are a ton of 'free' shopping carts aroung, just hit google and search for javascript shopping carts and so on.

As far as Pay Pal goes I would think they have that all set up for you. You may want to start with pay pal, they might have a 'total package' for you if you sign up for their service

www.paypal.com

They are offer a shopping cart for a decent price.
i think its something like 1.7% +.30 per order they take. They also insure your orders up to $100,000.

Not a bad idea if you not a big business and don't want to deal with credit card security yourself. Plus Paypal is a well known name and people are comfotable with it.

But before getting into bed with Pay Pal you should check out the trouble they are in . . . (http://www.paypalwarning.com/ThingsYouShouldSee/Default.htm)
