Can anyone tell me if 1st Page 2000 can be configured to automatically insert the HTML code for a double quotation mark when I type the double-quote?

For example, I believe the code in question is & quot ; (without the spaces), right?
Is there a way that 1st Page can enter that into my document instead of " when I press SHIFT-' ?

I suppose I could do a search and replace after the fact, but it would be quicker (and I wouldn't have to remember) if I can get 1st Page to do this for me.

I have tried to find a way to do this but thusfar I'm striking out....
I realize the simple double-quote used by default is adequate for browsers such as Netscape and Explorer, but the individual in charge of my project is seeking a more pure HTML approach wherever possible. There are probably other special characters that have HTML code aside from just the double-quote.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

You can use Insert > Special Characters (on the menu bar) and choose the quote symbol, this will insert the HTML & quot ; code. But it's quicker to type it than to do all that, I find! :D
Shift+ CTRL + X brings up the special characters box without going through the menu.
