Simple but important question

I'm new at this and I have a simple question but it would seem to be important. Are pages made with PHP able to be searched and indexed by web search engines. Thanks

yeah, most do (including google). My site is ran on php with query strings and gets decent rankings. im pretty sure there is a limit though for how long the query string is (example: http://www.yoursite.com/main.php?section=webmasters&page=gethits . Length is two.).
