I'd like to first say that I love 1st page, and I think it's very high quality software. Having said that, I'd like to make a couple of strong suggestions if I may. The first is in reference to tabbing. I don't understand 1st page tabbing theory, and I would LOVE to see an option to have tabs be a standard 5 blank spaces.(that's standard, right?) Right now, this is a hassel, as I'm pressing backspace 2-10 times every time I need a tab which is quite often. Another missing feature that I love is multi-line tabbing. There IS an option to add an html tab.(I don't know exactly what this does) But, it'd be wonderful if you could select multiple lines and hit tab to see a nice, beautiful 5 blank spaces before every line. OH! one more thing! This is a very NOT big deal, but if the file system in the left pane stayed open when all files were closed and the "click anywhere to create a new page" stayed in the right frame, that would be perfect. Thank You,
Zephryl

I agree. I hate that dirty click anywhere to create new document page, and I think that the navigation tress to the left would help clean that up. I would also like to put forth the idea of standard file editiong abilitys in the Navigation tree thing.

I think you should be able to copy, paste, deltete, rename, move and open the files listed in your default browser. I know they have some of these (I forget which ones) but if they had all of them it would really make my day...

If you guys wanted to just go all out. ;) You could have the "Format Code" command like NetBeans. Where it tabs every line that folows a { and *un-tabs* every one that follows a }. This might be somewhat difficult if people want their html tabbed... But it would be very nice for javascript, php, etc. programming.

I think the standard tab distance is 8 spaces.... I think...

Anyways, it would be nice if you could set the tab distance in spaces. Many text editors do this and it's really handy. The current tabbing that goes on in 1st page really does my head in.

Most poeple that I've talked to about tabbing and auto-indenting just prefer the sticky tab method. Which is where any tabs you make on one line will be duplicated on the next line when you enter a hard return. Although it would be nice to have this as a configurable option too.

Like being able to set auto indents for code blocks defined with { & }'s... Maybe even tieing that in with various auto-complete options.

I'd also like to stress better mouse wheel support. Sure the mouse wheel works but um, it feels a little shall we say, slugish.

Oh and it would be nice if you could place a close button to close the active open document in the top right hand corner of it's view pane. Because I just can't seem to get past the "Window in a window" train of thought used is most windows applications, like MS Word, Photoshop ect... I keep closing the colour pallet thinking that little [X] in the top right will close the active document.

I just got 1stPage; someone recommended it as a HomeSite-like HTML editor, and it looks pretty nice. I have a couple questions.

1. PHP support? Is it there? Does 1stPage color code PHP? Doesn't appear to. What's more, I can't easily open PHP files in 1stPage, and there doesn't appear to be a place to add file types that I would like to be able to edit with 1stPage, such as .inc ...

2. Hotkey help on tags? I'm a decent developer, but I rely heavily on having tag help so I don't have to remember the format and options to go with EVERY tag. Also, is there an Edit Tag button so that I can edit the attributes of the current tag? Again, like Homesite, for those who've seen it.

1stPage really looks cool ... I'm hoping to start using it for all my dev work soon. Thanks
