Hello,

I read this post (http://developers.evrsoft.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2973) and it reminded me of a debate I had with my brother who religiously uses frames. I have tried to explain that there are many disadvantages to frames but he is to 1999 to listen to me.

He has one compelling argument I have not been able to overcome. He claims there is no way to play a continuous audio track while guest browse the site unless it loads into a constant frame. I can't think of a solid work around for this, but I know there has got to be one.

There is only one rule we both agree on, popups are not a viable answer.

Help me kill the <framset> and <iframe> in my brothers repertoire.

Thanks,

I should say that although I agree with Mr. Stilts, about this be annoying he works primarilly with singers & voiceover artists that insist on audio being worked in to the general design.

I tired that, he swears his customers want nothing less than annoying. It was suggested on another forum that I just pop him in the lip and call it good, I haven't ruled that out yet. :D

He's already using flash, I dont know much about it myself, I like notepad. He has explained that flash only does this by creating a frame, I dont know if thats true but that would explain how flash pulls this off.

I'm excited about the idea of a possible div solution, if you have any more information I'd really like to hear it.

Thanks,

May be helpfull (http://www.thesitewizard.com/webdesign/backgroundmusic.shtml) Don't know if this is going to be any use to you ,as I have not tried it myself, but it tells you how to "EMBED BACKGROUD MUSIC IN YOUR WEB SITE" .
