Maybe if some will answer this question, this forum may start it's life...

Its basically the interactivity inside of *fla or *swf projects.
(eg drawing, painting, playing inside the program,3d math_functions,search_array. To experiment with object effects in or on a flash program containing interactivity, required by an individual.)

Something like the java cube applet.

Well, I am using Flash to a limited degree but cannot claim to understand actionscript, other than they are a way of getting the movie to interact with the viewer.

There are some neat uses of Flash on the net, (MLB.com use it for "gameday" to watch a baseball agme with up-to-the-minute updates - that's neat. I watch a lot of games that way!

At the moment I use Swish (the cheaper version of Flash( and it's possible to achieve very interesting results with it.

(It makes a change from trying to learn php!!!! - which is doing my head in at the moment!)

Flash action scripts are great to use if you can utilize ASP or CGI servers you can have a nice Chatroom with flash or use a the video feeds. Other examples could be a message board Although I don't know why you would do that? Since PHP and CGI are the norm.

You can do alot of things if you can utilize the server programs. If not its just a different way to show off the embedded silly things that can be used to lock down a program that you don't want (snatched away from wanna be web theifs)

its all just away to show off something that can be done in a different light.

Even with that other wanna be flash from Adobe you can do different things.

Personally I think a nice data base running mysql or sql would do just fine.
But thats just my old school idea since I'm from the *nix world anyway.
