I am using 1st Page 200 about half a year (maybe longer...) and I have still the same problem.
After longer time working on some websites the dialog box "Out of System" appears. My PC is Athlon 1700+, 256 MB DDR, 40GB HDD - is this NOT ENOUGH for 1st Page?
Pls, help me... Thanx. :)
David.
PS: Except for this bug (and the so called virus) I found this tool the best freeware editor for quick website development :p
PPS: I love your smilies - the are "simply the best"

Could you explain a little more of how you run the system.
I believe you might have run 1st Page a long time without the break (quit 1st Page and/or web page). This build alot of memory, cookie, web address memory, etc.
I have no problem on mine. I alway close all other program, quit 1st page, web page about every hours (this will clean up the cookie and memory). This way, i know the program is running normal. I never use 1st page to edit the file on the web page address (web server). This build very heavy cookie and memory. I just edit the files on my hard drive with 1st page, save to file on my hard drive, quit 1st page, call on web server and upload the files with other ftp program.
If you do this about every hour or sooner, then it should be no problem.
Please write back if still have a problem.
It hapens to me all the time.
I used other softwares before, and nothing hapened....
see ya!

Hello, Ray!
Many thanx for your help. I will try to work the way you suggested.
Regarding my computer handling: I am the "multitasking" maniac - lots of different IE windows, HTML and CSS refferals, etc., etc. If I had the multi-monitor system, I would be the happiest (strange word, isn't it?) man...

Are the System?!?!? you mean not the GDI (Graphical Resources) of Windows meant? (You can see that on inproper displaying of dialog boxes and normally appearing of error 'Canvas does not allow drawing')...
I have had that broblem very often on my Win98 box... especially when programming with PHP-Edit, or having some other programs open... FP seems to eat up about 15% of those resources (That's what I can get out with Sisoft Sandra)

I think this is from the shortage of GDI resources. I have this problem with 1st page 2000 when I open it together with other GDI-intensive applications like Photoshop and MS-Word.
When a program needs to draw anything on the canvas it needs to grasp thus lock up some GDI resources. When the program finishes and does not free them properly, such resources will be permanently lost unless you reboot your system.
It is possible that if you open many programs at the same time they may drain up all the GDI resources if they require a lot of GDI resources for operation before they can be freed and replenished on exit. Strange fonts, missing lines or images etc. are symptoms of GDI resource depletion. As GDI resources is independent of memory, it may occur as well to a system with lots of memory provided a faulty program is running.
If you use Windows 2000/XP, you can monitor the GDI resources by firing up the system monitor by pressing Alt-Ctrl-Del and then choose task manager. Also, the system info program on earlier windows versions also display this figure.

The regulars here will surely tire of hearing me say this BUT...
I believe that 1stPage does not properly release memory after doing a getmem for a subtask. This results in orphaned chunks of memory. After doing this a number of times, your system does not know it has any free memory for a sub task of 1stPage.
