Hi there,
Since about 3 years now , i've been using FP. And I still love it.
But I miss the PHP support , so yesterday , someone mentioned PHP Designer. Also freeware, also very powerfull (first impression).
Has anybody any experience with that new editor ?

I've been using it here and there, not bad.
FP is better for HTML editing, PHP Designer is better for PHP editing, so when you're mashing the two together in a single document (such as a template file) you're pretty much hosed either way.
FP2000 lacks the PHP support and the HTML support in PHP Des2005 is there, but not as good as in FP2000 - it doesn't seem to automatically generate width and height attributes for images and lacks customisable keyboard shortcuts for instance (can't hit Ctrl+Space for an ).
If you're writing pure PHP (such as class files) go with PHP Designer - if you're mixing PHP and HTML together (using more HTML than PHP) use FP.

Hi - I suggest looking at PhpED (http://www.nusphere.com/products/phped.htm)
It is real PHP IDE with debugger (DBG (http://www.nusphere.com/products/php_debugger.htm) db client, ftp, sftp, webdav, full suport for smarty - you name it. Real stuff.

I use pure notepad.
And I am happy with it. It gives better control.
