Hello! My name is S. Hunter-wilson with the help of 1st page 2000 editnig software I was able to learn html and design my site from scratch however the place that host my site told me that I need ftp in order to delete my files. Can someone give me a quick lesson on what ftp exactly is, because i'm getting confused. Also, can some one tell me how am I suppose to use it to delete my files from my directory of my control panel where my site is hosted at. I download the 1st page transfer sofware today and I don't have the slightest idea of how to use. It said something like add a server and all this other stuff. Upon downloading the software it said for me to save a file to my root directory of my account. I know know what file, and what should I save it as.
My root directly would be soundandsilencemag.com right?
if that is my address.
Also, I my hosting for my site told me that through a ftp sofware I will be able to set up more directories in my control panel. I'm in desparate need of help, It is getting crowded with files in my main root directory in my control panel and that is the only directory there is, that the hosting company provides within there edit software.
What I basically want is to be ablet o delete my files from my control panel and make new directories in my control panel and I as told by the hosting company for my site that I will need a ftp client sofware and I saw that 1st page has 1st page tranfer ftp
right? and I right?
