I work as a customer service rep. We just took a cut in staff and I have been assigned the task of working on our help files. I have the original source and would like to enhance the help file (compiled as .chm) with search tools and additional options like links. The issue is that I really do not know how to "code". I have no training in vb and have limited knowledge of ins and outs of how to code. I am looking for some tutorial or book that I can work with that would assist me in completing the enhancment (without knowing how to code). The Help in MS Help Workshop is criptic at best. For example under Add/Modify Window Definition General Tab, you are supposed to put in a window type: No where in this help file does it give me a clue as to what a window type is. I would prefer to work through this stuff myself and if I have a book or tutorial, I can get it done without feeling like I am struggling with it. Does anyone have a suggestion? :hahaha:

Hmm, its hard to say, there really are not tutorials that I have found. I would say that Workshop is the best you can work with and basically there is not a lot of coding you have to do unless you want to make it really shine so to speak and you might be better just to learn HTML and make a non chm help file. Sorry probably not what you were looking for, but that is all I can say. I have made them or basic ones. I think someone added ms help workshop and re did and added to it. You might want to head over to sourceforge site and check out the opensource stuff.
