I have a problem with Netscape 7.0 achieving the correct color background (<bgcolor="006400"> in a table. I am using Windows 95. The color shows up in the 1st Page preview window correctly but when I go on-line it shows up as a transparency background with Netscape 7.0. The color shows up correctly in the older versions of Netscape and in Internet Explorer 5. If someone who is using Netscape 7.0 could check out my website at http://www.highland-resort.com and look at the Rate Page and let me know if the background in the left side column is green or transparent, it would be much appreciated. Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to correct this problem?

The problem occurs most probably because the color value is not valid.
Add a # before the color value, i.e.
< .... bgcolor="#006400">
and it should be fine.
Color values should be specified as such.

Hello Bernard Chan. Thanks for the reply. Sorry, but I mistyped the message in my question on this forum. There is a "#" sign in front of "006400" IE. <bg="#006400">in the program and it does not show the dark green color on the left column?

I use mozilla and I don't see the green too, maybe try changing to other code, let's say #006600... also, black font on dark green background is not so good for the eyes...

Hello Bernard Chan! You were right. I thought that I had put a # sign into the equation in my program but I had not. I went back into the program and made the change that you saw and everything works great. Thanks for your help and good luck at school. I am a graduate of Queen's University (B.Sc Eng.) in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I looked at your website and it looks great.
