I am editing PERL with 1st Page 2000 and I can find an option to save my document in unix format, the original script is saved that way, but editing it in 1stpage changes it to windows format and the linux server will not run it.
Ive looked thru all the prefs/options cant find a way to save as unix file format...
anyone know how to do this?
Can you tell me how you save?
If you use 'file>save as>' and change Save as type to CGI/Perl Files (*.pl, *.cgi) from selection then you have a problem. If my information is right as you did this, please report in bug section on the forums.
You might have to use notepad to edit the perl. I do this on notepad. Unless you use cut & paste job.
Most web server can not be upload with perl (they automatic conver text to html format). My have to call script page on server and cut & paste to put in it.
Where is the unix system? your computer or web server?

Try this rather odd fix, which worked for me

If sanyone else is having this problem try the following:
Set internet explorer as your default browser...
Try it now...
Set your REAL browser as default again...
Try it again...
that should fix it
