Everytime I go into preview mode I get ... stream write error.
Any suggestions as to what I might do?

Are you on a network - you can get that error when writing to a (nearly) full network drive. 1st Page creates a copy of the file when you preview - you are viewing the copy, not the original, so it effectively doubles the size of the file. Another possiblility would be writing to a temp directory that doesn't exist or to a directory you don't have sufficient rights to.
