How much would something like this cost?

I recommended this site to icy because I know that there are a lot of good programmers in here and was sure that someone would be able to help her ... one way or another.

do you have a paypal accourt? or other processor? Do you have the graphics that you want already added or in a form that matches your site?

other good places while you are at it are Sitepoint and Zymic, an especially good designer I know goes by Magnus on both sites, I know he is a good designer.

Yes, I have a PayPal account to buy items, it is very simple to set up an account to sell items. I can provide screen shots of the items to be offered but the quality of pictures is not what I would want on the site.
By the way, I'll be selling a lot of the same items they offer on eastitems.com

Thank you for the information.

How about the other parts like your site template or do you have an part of a website already?

I don't have the knowledge to do the site myself. I had a designer working on my site but due to time constraints he has not been able to work on the site for 6 months.
This is what he has so far: http://www.weaselden.com/diablo-deals/index.html
I have not set up PayPal in my name yet because the site is not in use. I can use what he has so far or go with a whole different site. Diablo-Deals is the domain name. It is currently set up on his server. He did offer to lease me server space. Also I will need help with maintenance on the site until I learn how to do it myself.
Are you interested in doing this Terminator1138?

Well I just needed the information regarding the other site like if you had any portion done already. If you are just talking about the shop portion or more than just a shop portion.
The other issue I have is hte leased server space. Is this from a friend on his own server or hosted server? How many items do you have or want up right away? Do you have a budget in mind?
My friend offered to let me lease a spot on his hosted server. I could potentially have 200+ items. At the moment, I probably have 100 or so items available.
He was going to charge me $100.00 max for the site. I know that would have been a very good deal. How much should I expect to spend?

You could get it for much less than that on a site like Zymic, there are talented people with no way to get money or serious business (I have seen custom designs go for less than $10)
For real quality though you need to look at the portfolio, Magnus is a friend of mine so I'll drop the link to his one.

Thank you again PsychoticDude85. How do I go about contacting your friend? I'd like to know if he would be interested.

Well you can contact him on PM by joining zymic forums and dropping him a PM from his profile (http://www.zymic.com/forum/index.php?showuser=893)
If you dont want to do that i'll give him the link to this topic, your choice entirely.
I'll send him a pm and link to this thread. Thanks.

Okay heres my take on the whole aspect...
1. You do not have good enough graphics ( you stated this) for the items, so they have to be created by hand, which is time consuming.
2. You need to have integration with current them, which is actually easy enough that you can do that yourself with a little html know how.
3. time frame?
If you have a site template already that will cut your costs and a host. The site can go anywhere from 200-400 IMO. Yes you can get some ppl to do it for cheap, but you do not have any pics of the items and that is the tough part.
Please note this is not an official quote. I would love to put on a quote, but do not have the time to create all those little graphics :):)
I'm will also ask a few on my forums to see if anyone is interted. Good luck.
Thank you for your interest in my site Terminator1138.
Time frame is, as long as it takes to get it done. I'm guessing about one to two months. I'm willing to do what I can to help with the site. I will be able to get screen shots of the items but I want them to look nice, like the ones in the top website link I posted.
As far as a template. I'm not exactly sure what that is. Can what has been started be used for a template?

Well a template is the layout without content like navigation, footer, header etc....
It could be cheaper IMO if you had high screen capture of the times....and then to touch them up would help, but if someone had to recreate them, that would be the only cost IMO.
The layout of items in a shopping cart site is actually easy and can be done with a simple table :)
I think I'm going to offer some of my items on Ebay in the mean time. I have waited a long time for this site to be built. It is a start to something bigger.
I have listed one item on eBay today. It wasn't a pleasant thing to do. It took 3 hours...lol. I guess because I am a new seller I was double-checking to make sure I did everything correct.
I haven't had a reply from Magnus.
I am still in the market for an affordable designer.

I haven't seen him lately so I assume he is on holiday :( sorry :p
Oh..ok. :)
Magnus and I are working out the details for the website.
I'm still needing to get my website built. I have gone on line and looked at "do it your self website-building/hosting" companies. I'm very new to this and need some input from someone who has purchased this sort of thing. Can someone recommend a reliable, affordable company to me?

sooo......a bit confused..was the cost out there or what? Have you looked into templates? Prebuilt solutions always look prebuilt...
Magnus dropped the project.
