Because there was no point as for ages it was to be replaced by a new FP. Please search before posting, this has been stated many times before.

You have to understand and read also that its the AV software's fault in the first place. Also, this software has been unchanged since 2000 so basically its not removed for that reason also.

Please say that this Virus is just a litle and bad joke from you.
My Computer is very slow now and I donīt know why.
I scanned the whole Data and the file:
C:\Programme\Evrsoft\1st Page 2000\IScripts\Buttons\Six buttons from hell.izs
is the only one that is infected !
Why should one trust such a Software or such a Software house.
Please tell me exactly what this Virus do and what is to be done to remove it.

This virus (which you can find many posts on from here with full info)..is a javascript code that you can add to a webpage. If someone clicks on it, it will open window after window. That is it. Does not replicate or anything. To removed it delete the file, easy enough to do. The problem as stated by me and others, is with antivirus software companies who gave it a false reporting. Its not evrsofts fault for what av companies did. Yes, he has plans to remove it in next version if that makes you happy.
Why is your computer slow...easy, you probably have tons of spyware on it slowing it down ...have you scanned it for adware?
Simple delete the file and use the software.

Thanks, I already deleted this file and I will also check for spyware.
But in any case ... it should be easy to fix the problem with this "Six buttons from hell.izs"
or make just a remark in the downloadpage that one should remove this file
after installation of 1stpage2000

Well I do agree to that, but I can see that if the new FP is really coming this time that they may have more important work to do.
To call it a virus is a mis-definition in my opinion, it is not a virus in the conventional sense of the word, only malicious JS that can only be entered by the user of the program, if it is never used then it will never have any adverse affects.
As to your PC slowing down this is probably either as Terminator said, due to adware in which case adaware is a good free program that should fix it, or alternatively that your hard drive hasn't been defragmented in a long time.

It's not a virus or a Trojan. Why do you people continually post this....
