I'm having the same problem, mine gets stuck at Loading Ultra S/R Engine....

It worked for a few days, then it started acting up, crashing. Now I can't get it to load at all. I uninstalled, reinstalled, but no joy.

Oh how I wish to have it fixed and working. If someone knows a fix, please help.
There is no OTHER software worth using in my estimation, but if I can't use it.....

Thank GOD I've got 2K to go back to for the time being...

PLEASE HELP! :)

Hi There,
If you click on the file menu does it respond? If it does.... select File > New > Default Template. This should get you into FP2006 and give you access to the other menus.
If this is the case... go to Options > General Program Preferences and select Startup from the left hand side of the Preferences Dialog Box. Then in the right hand side clear the checkbox directly in front of the "Show Splash screen on Program Load" option.
Close FP2006 and restart. FP2006 should now bypass the Loading screen and fireup the Document Manager. Choosing a relevant page option should now get you into FP2006.

Andrew, thanks so much for your reply,
problem is, even if I can get into the file menu to change anything, because it hangs as it does, I can't close it without ctrl-alt-delete. Closingi t that way prevents the changes from being stored. I finally reinstalled it and created a different folder from the default that the install creates <instead of 2006 I changed it to 06> and now it's working fine. After I uninstalled the previous installation, I went in and deleted the folders/ files that were left behind. I realize that's sloppy, but it's working now.

Maybe I didn't close all open programs when I ran the original install? I have no idea... I'm just ever so thankful for it running now. Thanks again for your reponse!

Jodi
