i downloaded free first page yesterday and of course the noted six buttons from hell virus was a part of it. nav caught it during the download but the prompt said 'unable to repair this file.' the nav reports show that, and 'unable to access this file.' running full nav found 0 viruses and a search comes up with no six buttons from hell anywhere, to be deleted as the nav instructions suggest. now what? i can't afford to lose this machine, it's brand new, and i don't have money to repair it, either. i saw all the previous posts on this but i don't trust them. i've never heard of a bogus virus not doing any harm... what to do?

IT'S NOT A VIRUS!

It is a javascript that opens popups till your computer runs out of memory when ran. At worst it forces you to reboot the computer.

Just delete the file if you are that worried.

i forgot to mention that the 'six buttons' trojan or whatever it is, is also NOT in my 'buttons' folder in the 1st page files. i am afraid to shut down until i find it and delete it. i have to get going and get back to work but i won't leave this until it's cleared out. thanks. ps: this wan't funny. i just lost 2 days on it and more gray hairs as another post said.

Click on Start, Search, For Files or Folders and on your local hard drive, search for "Six*.izs" minus the quote marks.

Good luck deleting it though... Norton will kick in and not let you. Try disabling Norton temporarily, delete the file and then turn Norton back on.

Hope this helps.
