Untill now I have not succeeded in placing a movie on my website. What is the best way to do this?
What about streaming?

thanks,
Hepala

There are many ways and you have to narrow down what you want. You want to display it or jjust add link for download?

You have to set up a streaming server so that is most likely not what you want unless the video comes from another source and not yours. The best way to show you is provide the code where your attempt has failed and or a link to your site.

Also google is your friend (http://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+embed+video+in+a+web+page&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official)

There are some softwares available in the market which allow you to do this. I have heard about some like this : - http://mediasitescript.com/

But they can be quite costly. Are you looking for a multi script that can do a lot of things at the moment, or just simple videos where your visitors or members can watch it only?

Great information, really helpful. Thanks to everyone who posted how to post videos. Now maybe I can get mine to work, finally!

Google is really now great as it has embeded movies codes for the lazy people. Other sites are now getting keyed on this as well, like youtube.com yourfilehost, com dailymotion.com to name a few. All have the videos and codes you want or need, most allow uploading free and give you the code once its uploaded.

Yes the embed tag works great. Isn't there also another subtag that can go in that makes it so the screen thingie goes away? That's usually only necessary for music though, in fact, it wouldn't make sense on video.

I think before embed the video it needs to convert to flash. Coz flash takes less places.
I usually convert by this (http://www.urlremoved)

Good luck!
