Hiya, kids! I searched the archives and found nothing which resembles my problem.
I'm using the version which expires April 30th. I imported some text and was editing in the Editor (not the WYSIWYG editor), was able to do a few things, and was into the fourth or fifth paragraph when I tried to insert a BR after a line.
Bam. <b
Then complete lockup. Did it three times in a row.
What gives?

I'm using the version which expires April 30th.
The Version of FP released on January 12 supercedes the release of January 10. I think it is the release of January 10 that expires on April 30th. The January 12 release is free and does not expire. The pay for version of FP, promoted by Evrsoft, by all reports available on the forums is not yet available.
I have removed the suggestions offered to SgtBob originally in this post, now obsolete. The information now in this post was added on February 11.

Can't remember exactly when I downloaded it. It is FP2006, though, and it gives me a pause screen on startup, telling me that I can download the full version for free after April 30. I'm running it on a Dell Inspiron 700M notebook with XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2, oodles of memory and a great big hard drive.
So I dunno really. I'd rather not download it again. I downloaded FP2006 last week to my desktop machine at work, and that's working fine.

Detailed suggestions given to SgtBob, not responded to, have become obsolete, so I have deleted them.
