My FP 2006 will not budge from its slightly larger than half-screen size. I tried dragging the window edges and the split arrow appears but nothing happens other than that.
I'm running WinXP on a fairly new machine running at 3.8 GHz with 2 GB RAM.

Have not seen this.
Do you have a document or template loaded? Can you load one?
Has FP2006 every worked OK for you?
When did you download FP loader?
What was our source of FP loader, e.g., was it CNET's Download.com?
Did you have an earlier version of FP2006, e.g., a beta version, before you downloaded FP2006 final?
Does FP2006 otherwise work. e.g., you can type into an HTML document and save the documentn and close FP without problems?
I am just feeling around for something. I do not know why you have this problem.
Thank you for giving your basic system parameters.
I will not be back on line until Thursday evening but if you post answers to these questions, it may prompt aother to reply to you.

I opened an html file using FP 2006.

The Beta version worked as far as resizing goes.
When did you download FP loader?
Fairly recently but I cannot remember the exact date. The help indicates it is version 3.0

Sorry, I cannot remember the exact place of download. Perhaps it might be a good idea to re-download, uninstall, and reinstall to see if the problem persists?

I used the Beta version for a short time ubt uninstalled it before installing this version.

It appears to work but I got called away before I had an extended session with it.

I think I will follow my own suggestion above and remove this copy, download another (and make a note from where!), and reinstall to see if I still have the same problem. It may simply be a user aberration caused by a system short between the ears.

OK, I have uninstalled 1st Page 2006 and even went through my registry to remove the 3 (or 4?) entries for 1st Page 2006 I found there.
I then downloaded a fresh copy from C|Net download.com
I will now go back and install the new version and run it the same way I did before to see if it reacts the same way.

Reinstalled and ran it from the install and it worked properly. Then I right-clicked on the file I wanted to edit and selected "Edit with First Page 2006" ...
It now works properly. Guess it's just that short between the ears again! http://developers.evrsoft.com/forum/images/smilies/M0QV9LDF.GIF
