This community would benefit by more "chatter" in this forum.
I am a forum member same as you. Please post "something about me" to this thread. It does not have to be something after hours. It could even be "Why I am writing web pages".
New forum member? Great place to safely get in a new post. Not a place for comments on 1st Page or Evrsoft. This is a place about me. Get it?

I am looking forward to getting some sites up soon on the Internet, nothing serious. The first one will be for a Toastmasters Club that I am a member of. I am retired from a research position in a consumer electronics company. I live in East-Tennessee, near family. My picture is up on my forum profile. I enjoy digital photography. I am happily married. I am a guy. I just told you 10 things about me. I would enjoy reading something about you.

I retired from the U.S. Navy in 1987 as a Mustang Lieutenant. I am male and also happily married though I cannot vouch for whether or not she is ...
I have had my own website up since sometime in 2002 when I started teaching Basic Computer Fundamentals at a local community center. I use it to help teach my students about safe surfing and Internet Netiquette. I also teach a basic Pre-Tech Computer class where I show them how to refurbish their own computers and hopefully get them working better.
I enjoy computer games, especially online coopertive play games. I currently play Diablo II - LOD and Sacred Plus semi-regularly but will have to scale back as I start working on my taxes.
Next?

I am also a Navy veteran, although I was only in for 6 years and did not make it to retirement. Never planned on it either.
I work in the computer electronics industry and am working on Bachelor's degree at night.

... am working on Bachelor's degree at night.
I got my Bachelors degree during the day and worked on my Masters at night. Now I just need to get one more degree so I can tell people I've had the third degree!
Sorry about opening an old topic but this has been down and I just checked to find it open again. :hellother

Best of luck to you. I often wish I could relive my college days. It was a lot of hard work but I also enjoyed the friendships I made there.

Well the best part in going to college now is that it is FREE, yes completely free for me. And not just because of the GI bill either. The state I live in says a veteran can go to a state funded school on a tution waiver.
