i've looked thru that pathway several different ways. you don't understand i have the worst luck in the world. my luck it would be a new thing just put up and trasn the whole machine. i'm shellshocked and paranoid from everything that's happened to me. i insist on deleting the thing before i chill. and as i said, it's nowhere to be found except in those searches i just did "six buttons from hell*.*" and "six buttons from hell.*" which resulted in a list of almost all the files on this machine. i apparently don't understand and i don't trust. everyone says, 'just do a seach and find free stuff on the net, and so far... this has been my luck. i'm trying to get my midi studio going and this is the only computer i can afford. if it's wrecked already, i'm done, again. sorry for being freaked out, but i am. all my stuff's been trashed by lightning 3 times, and that's with lightning protection, so... i earned my paranoia. the six buttons file name is NOT coming up under any searches or nav scans. results say 'unable to repair this file' and 'unable to ACCESS this file' so i only assume it's in there somewhere and i can't ACCESS it. thanks.

Sorry to hear that you are so stressed.
The six buttons from hell is a demonstration of how you can (uncontrolably) spawn windows from a web page. It was irresponsible to include it with 1st Page but it causes no harm to your computer beyond being a nuisance and inducing a certain paranoia in a few susceptible people. the file has a "izs" extension. Therefore do this:
Go to the \program files\1st Page\IScripts\buttons directory and delete the directory. You will never use those files anyway.
The reason you turned up so many files is that your search included a * term that would turn up every file on your hard drive or directory tree because it was separated by a space from the rest of the text. It makes the search the same as searching for "*" alone.

i deleted the buttons folder as you suggested. and deleted it again from my recycle bin. i'll run nav again, but i'm concerned where this thing whatever it is went that i coulnd't find it anywhere. is this program safe to use now. i have pagemill 3.0 but couldn't install it because i couldn't find my old serial number so i downloaded this freebee. thank you and please stay tuned.

The 1st Page Program program was always safe to use.
"Six buttons" was a java coding example whose behaviour got it labelled as a virus although it had no capacity to replicate, spread to other programs, machines, etc.
You've taken care of the problem. Just go ahead and start using 1st Page. Enjoy yourself.
