User Pic background

I was thinking it would be cool to see a web page that had a background that changed while their veiwing a web page. The catch is I want it to veiw pics that they have in their My Documents/My Pictures folder and then of course if they dont have any pics in there then it will use a default pic.
Don't know if this is possible or not but was thinking it would catch a few eyes If say you were to go to a web site and you see you X-mas Pic you just downloaded into your computer on that site.
Of course I don't want it to take the pic so other visitors can view it, becuase for each person who views the web page their background will depend all apon the picture they have on their own system.
I know their is a java script out there that allows a web page to display the files of a visitors hard drive on the web page, so I am thinking it might be something like this but then again I just now opened JavaScript-The Definitive Guide by O'Reilly. So no I do not really have the slightest clue on how to even start this.
So I was hoping this idea I have might pop a spark in someones mind who does have an clue about JS and would be willing to go about it.

I definitely am not advanced enough to help you
work out the code you want, but do have an
address to a wonderful website that has some
transistional javascript writings that does neat stuff
with pictures.
Perhaps the more advanced here can give you
exact, and maybe you yourself are good enough to
work it out yourself with one of these scripts as
a template. I wish you luck on your endeavor, it
sounds like a great idea!

thank you I will look there and maybe I can find a script I can use as a templete. hahah I had just reposted both this Idea with more detail along with another idea in another topic area so hopefully either a more advance person might like the challenge of doing it .

This could have serious implications depending on the picture download predilictions of the viewer :D

Imagine your kid browsing away and the background changes to the latest Wicked Weasel catalogue pictures you d'led.

hmmm well that is why I always keep my pics in an buried folder not usually keep and not to just hide them for the kids but from the *cough* wife *cough*
